Money Comes Full Circle
(My mom and I are picking up a prescription at a retail store. She gives me her card to pay for a few things while she gets the prescription. While I’m paying, I remember that I owe her money, so I take out $40. She meets me up front.)
Me: “Okay, that’s paid for. And I got you some of the money I owe you.”
Mom: *pauses* “You mean the money you took out of my card?”
Me: “Aw, s***. I was so proud of myself for remembering, too!”
