Mom Is The Hand That Rock’n’Roll’s The Cradle
(My eight-year-old son heard Joan Jett’s ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’ at school and sort of taught it to his four-year-old sister. Neither of them have a firm grip on the lyrics, so she just runs around singing ‘I love rock’n’roll! Sopucha ducha ducha BABY!’ over and over. One day she pauses, and comes up to me.)
Daughter: “Mummy, I love rock and roll.”
Me: “You do?”
Daughter: “Yup!”
Me: “Do you know what rock and roll is?”
Daughter: “No.”
