Meow You See Them
I’m a paramedic. We get a call to respond to an elderly patient falling in a country house. I could hear the patient yelling for help from within the house as I walked up the drive. I open the door, and about eight cats rush me.
I was a new medic, so I called over my partner, who was a few steps behind me.
Me: *Slamming door shut.* “I was about to go in, but I was rushed by like, eight cats. What do I do?”
Partner: “Patient takes priority. We go in, cats go out.”
I open the door, and I’m not making this up, over thirty cats rush out past me.
I get to the patient, and the first thing he says to me is:
Patient: “Don’t let the cats out.”
