Mathematical Attack Vectors

(My older brother is a senior in college and is studying theoretical mathematics and computer science. I’m a freshman in college in a decidedly un-mathematical field.)

Brother: *discussing some theories of mathematics* “…and that’s where the concept of relative infinities comes in.”

Me: “Okay, I really don’t get that. How can something infinite be bigger than something that is also infinite?”

Brother: “I can explain!”

(My brother goes off into an explanation that only confuses me more.)

Me: “Stop! I don’t get it, just stop!”

Brother: “No, this is really interesting!”

Me: “No, really, I’m okay, just stop!” *I start walking away*

Brother: *follows me* “No, just let me tell you the story of the infinite hotel!”

Me: “No!”

(My brother proceeds to follow me in circles around the house trying to tell his story.)

Me: “Moooom! He’s bullying me with math!”
