(My boyfriend and I are seeing the movie Mirror, Mirror. There’s a scene where one of the dwarves, Grub, repeatedly asks for somebody to pass the potatoes.)
Grub: “Love is passing the mashed potatoes.”
Boyfriend: *leans in and whispers* “I love you.”
Me: *paying attention to movie* “Hm?”
Boyfriend: *whispers* “I love you.”
Me: *still trying to pay attention* “Oh. I love you, too.”
Boyfriend: *whispers affectionately* “I love you so much that I’ll always pass the potatoes.”
Me: *smiles, and whispers back* “Shut up.”
