A mom and her young kids are at my checkout. As I scan each item, the toddler in her cart says to me:
Toddler: “Thank you for the eggs!”
Toddler: “Thank you for the bread!”
Toddler: “Thank you for the bananas!”
Mom: *To me.* “He’s just learned his please and thank yous, and he’s rolling with it.”
Me: “It’s the cutest thing!”
I scan some asparagus.
Toddler: “No, thank you.”
