Making Weighty Statements

On my lunch break, I stop at a local grocery store to get food. While I am looking at the prepared deli food, I hear another customer ask about the fat content of the food. I realize she is talking to me.

Me: “I don’t have that information.”

Customer: “You should be careful of how much fat you eat. You don’t want to gain any more weight, if you know what I mean.”

I didn’t verbally reply but gave her my nastiest glare and hurried out of the store with my food. After work, I stopped at a fast food place to get a milkshake out of pure spite.

Seriously, who goes around and does stuff like that? I’ve never been back to that store because I don’t trust myself not to go off on her if I run into her again.
