Making A Mockery Of Love
(I am currently on a medication that severely inhibits my vision. I have just turned out the light, and carefully make my way towards the bed.)
Me: “I can’t see. I’m blind.”
(I feel my fiancé wrap his arm around me, and pull him towards him. He kisses my neck and snuggles against me in a rare display of affection.)
Me: “Well if this is what being blind is like, I guess it’s not so bad after all.”
Fiancé: “Yeah, and I can make mocking faces at you all night and you’ll never be able to tell.”
