Me: “Hi, I got locked out of my room.”

Concierge: “What room number is it?”

Me: “321, here’s my—”

I’m about to get my ID out, but the concierge just hands me a room key.

Concierge: “Here you go!”

Me: “You’re not going to ask me for ID or anything?”

Concierge: “Uh… I remember you from check-in!”

Me: “I didn’t check in for the room, my wife did. I came half a day later.”

Concierge: “…”

Me: “I think I need to have a conversation with your manager…”
