A Blooming Relationship

(My husband and I are walking out to the car. A neighbour’s tree has dropped piles of quite pretty pink blossom all over our driveway. It rained the night before. My husband scoops a load of blossom petals into a soggy pile, then kicks it at me. He is a bit overzealous and ends up hoofing a huge clump of wet petals into my face.)

Me: “What the heck was that for?!”

Husband: “Got you flowers!”
