Looking For Par’Mach In All The Wrong Movies

(It’s my first time at an anime convention. I head to lunch with my friends and we wind up seated near a group of Star Trek cosplayers. One of the Klingons in their party has had too much to drink and is loudly chanting. This causes a few quiet girls at another table some discomfort. I see that security has been called, but I signal to them that I can handle it. I walk up next to the Klingon and whisper in his ear. He immediately quiets down and apologizes to the girls.)

Girl #1: “What did you say to him?”

Me: “Nah, you don’t want to know.”

Girl #2: “Oh, come on, what was it?”

Me: “I told him ‘you are bringing dishonor on yourself, on your family, and on your cow.'”

Girl #1: “You quoted Mushu in Klingon? That’s awesome.”

(What followed was a very quick lesson in saying Disney/Pixar movie lines such as “I can show you the world…” and “Put that thing back where it came from or so help me…” in Klingon.)
