Like The Blind Driving The Blind
(My mom, brother, sister, and I are together in the family car and are approaching a stop sign. We cruise over those little bumps just before the sign. My brother must be about 8, my sister about 13.)
Sister: “I wonder what those bumps are for.”
(The rest of us silently look at each other.)
Mom: “Well, what do you think they’re for?”
Sister: *silently concentrating very hard on trying to figure this out*
Brother: “Geez, [Sister]! It’s so the blind people know where the stop signs are.”
Me & Mom: *chuckling*
Sister: *dead serious* “Oh. That makes sense.”
