Knit Worth It

| Working | March 4, 2016

(I always carry a small knitting project with me so I can work on it during down time. We’re on break from a training session and I’m knitting a little red cap.)

Colleague #1: “What are you making?”

Me: “In honor of Heart Month, February, the American Heart Association is asking knitters to make preemie caps to donate to hospitals for babies born with heart defects.”

(A few minutes later:)

Colleague #2: “What are you making?”

Me: “The American Heart Association has asked knitters to make preemie caps for babies born with heart-related birth defects this month.”

(A few minutes later, a third colleague asks the same question, as does a fourth.)

Colleague #5: “What are you making?”

Me: “A shroud for the next person who asks me what I’m making.”
