(I have two cats that I brought into my relationship with my fiancé, one of which happens to be very loving, affectionate, and extremely sweet. She is sitting on my fiancé’s lap while he coos at her.)

Fiancé: “Who’s the prettiest kitty in the world? Who’s the prettiest kitty! You are!”

Me: *laughing* “You coo over that cat more than you do me!”

Fiancé: “Do you want me to call you the prettiest kitty?”

Me: “MAYBE! H***, I’d settle for the prettiest kitty in the room.”

Fiancé: *deadpan* “Well, we both know THAT’S a lie.”
