Just When You Thought Healthcare Couldn’t Get Worse

I am talking with my friend at school when the topic of parents comes up. My friend’s mom is really nice but has some… weird thoughts. My friend relates this conversation to me.

This happens when my friend is flossing her teeth in the bathroom and her mom sees her. The mom sighs.

Mom: “I hate those dentists! They just take our money!”

Friend: “How come?”

Mom: “Don’t you understand?! They make you floss your teeth to ‘clean’ out food, but it’s really to widen the gaps between teeth. When you go to the dentist, they tell you to get braces because your teeth are taking up too much space! It’s a never-ending cycle to get money!”
