A Korrovacky Wacky Name
(We do stories in German class to practice our vocab, but our teacher never puts names in, so we pick our own.)
Teacher: “Pick a name for person #1.”
Student #1: “Heidi!”
Teacher: “Okay, that’s a nice name. What should we call person #2?”
Student #2: “Sam!”
Teacher: “That’s not a German name. Pick something else.”
(Student #2 lists a bunch of non-German names.)
Student #3: “How about Korrovak?”
Teacher: “That’s ridiculous.”
Class: “Korrovak! Korrovak!”
(And so Heidi and her brother Korrovak went shopping for gifts for their parents.)
