It’s ‘Nice’ How A Plan Comes Together
(One day in middle school, right before class started I raised my hand to ask a question, but after the teacher called on me I changed my mind.)
Teacher: “Yes, [My Name]?”
Me: “Nice watch.”
Teacher: “Oh, thank you.”
(At this point, other kids started raising their hands to compliment random articles of clothing as a joke.)
Teacher: “Well, thank you, everyone, but class is about to start.”
(At this point, our final classmate, who had missed the whole scene, walks into the room.)
Classmate: “Oh, Mr. [Teacher], nice shirt.”
(The teacher spent the first ten minutes of class trying to get us to admit we’d planned that all out.)
