Food For Thoughtless

(A group of other pupils are working towards our bronze DofE award, and we have after-school sessions to help us prepare for our upcoming expeditions. This week’s session was about the types of food we’ll need to bring and how to cook said food. I should mention that this entire hour-long session has been about the food WE will need to bring. One girl, who isn’t the type of person you’d expect to be doing this sort of thing and who also isn’t particularly bright, obviously hasn’t been listening, because the following transpired:)

Teacher: *for the fifteen millionth time*  “Don’t forget, you’ll need to bring food that you can cook on the stove.”

Girl: “Wait, we have to bring our own food?”

(No, it just falls from the sky.)
