It’s Free To Complain Too
(It’s 2001. I’m working the merry-go-round at a very popular theme park. After riding it three times with his kids, the customer approaches me after his ride is concluded.)
Customer: “You know this ride isn’t very fun.”
Me: “How much did you pay?”
Customer: “Excuse me?”
Me: “How much did you pay to ride this ride?”
Customer: “Err… well, none.”
Me: “Then I guess you got what you paid for.”
(He stared at me for a moment then broke out into laughter. I’m glad he had a sense of humor!)
