Student #1: “[Teacher], do you know what a Dutch apple pie is?”
Teacher: “Yes, I do. Why?”
Student #1: “It’s named that because it was first made in Dutch, right?”
Teacher: “…”
Student #2: “There is no country named Dutch.”
Student #1: “What about like Deutschland?”
Teacher: “THAT’S GERMANY!”
Student #1: “No, Germany is called Germany. Deutschland is where Dutch people live.”
(The teacher ended up taking two ibuprofens and leaving the room.)
