InC’est La Vie

(I have grown very close with one of my housemates. She has once mentioned that she experiences synesthesia, in her case meaning she “sees” words in color, with each letter having a certain color. It should be noted that I tend to remember small details about people, even when it’s something they’ve only mentioned once. One day we are hanging out in her room together when this occurs.)

Me: “So, in [Popular TV Show], some people want [two main characters who are brothers] to be together but I don’t like that pairing because it’s incest and it really creeps me out.”

Roommate: “Yeah, same. Incest is a pretty word though, I really like it.”

Me: “Oh. Is it pretty because of the colours?”

Roommate: “Oh, yeah! Wow, it’s so nice you remembered that and made that connection!”
