I’m working in a showroom with some computer desks set up for customers who are looking to place an order.
[Coworker #1] calls me over due to a suspicious email that says he is getting a fax. We Google the name of it and see that the first few results say that it’s a scam. Very loudly in the showroom we announce:
Coworker #1 & Me: “Nope, that’s a worm. Don’t open that”
An hour later…
Coworker #2: “So, I opened an email that said I had a fax. I think it was a scam.”
[Coworker #1] and I facepalm as I spend the next couple of hours scanning and cleaning all the computers. Meanwhile, [Coworker #1] is waddling around mumbling:
Coworker #1: “Glad it wasn’t me. It wasn’t me this time…”
