Customer: “What’s the best varnish I need for [multiple types of wood]?”

Me: “I’m not sure, sir. The lumber department is right over there, someone there would be better qualified to answer you.”

Customer: *Suddenly angry.* “So you don’t know, eh?! Tell me, what is it you do around here then?!”

Me: “Well, sir, considering I am currently standing in front of my register with a line of customers that I have not stopped serving this entire time, I’m going to give you one guess…”
