If That’s True, Why Were You Sneaking?

I was working in a store. I smiled and greeted each customer… and then one guy stared back at me, unblinking, no expression at all, and didn’t break eye contact as I walked past. It freaked me out. Another customer approached me.

Customer: “That guy just stole some CDs.”

I found three empty CD packages with the plastic cut open on one side. This was back when a CD was actually expensive and valuable.

I called loss prevention. They tracked him down and put him in their office until the police came. I made a statement… and so did he.

The reason he stole the CDs?

Thief: “My uncle owns the store and he said I could have whatever I wanted!”

I’m pretty sure the real reason was drugs.
