If It’s Pink It’s Burned

(It’s April 1st, 2012. My family has always loved playing pranks on each other. My mom is notorious for using food-coloring for her pranks. My sister and I expect this, and we remain poker-faced throughout a breakfast of pink scrambled eggs.)

Mom: “This isn’t fair! I died the eggs neon pink! I thought they were really good! And the girls didn’t even giggle! We went though the whole breakfast and not one giggle!”

(My dad licks his finger and presses it to the air.)

Dad: “Tssss.”

(Later on, my mom went onto Facebook and posted a status about how we ‘burned’ her at breakfast.)
