Idina Believe You

(I substitute teach at elementary schools on a regular basis. I’ve had this conversation more than once with different kids.)

Student: “Ms. [My Name], do you like Frozen?”

Me: “I love it! I’ve met Elsa actually!”

Student: “Come on, Ms. [My Name], that’s just a lady dressed up like her. She’s just a cartoon.”

Me: “No, I’ve really met Elsa. I met the woman who did the voice and sang Let It Go. She even signed my DVD of Frozen.”

Student: *eyes as huge as saucers* “Wow…”

(And that’s how you earn respect from eight year olds.)
