I Tire Of Your Ploy

| Working | March 10, 2014

(I am at a mechanic’s to get an oil change. I have been going to this place for a few years, but this is the first time I have seen this employee.)

Employee: “I need to go to your car to get the mileage and VIN number.”

(When we reach my car, he starts to check out the tires.)

Employee: “You’re going to need all your tires replaced. Where did you get them?!”

Me: “From you guys, about six months ago! What kind of s*** did you sell me?”

(Funny, how the quality of the tires improved in a matter of seconds. I might not know a lot about cars, but I do know when a scam is coming my way. He never tried to pull anything like that on me again, and the rest of the staff always treated me like a valued customer.)
