I Just Like To Hear Myself Talk

I’ve just finished taking a payment for a paid-in-full account.

Me: “And you are all set! These are our credit removal policies…”

I explain that it takes about 120 days for the payment to come off their credit report, etc.

Me: “Do you have any questions?”

Customer: “No, I’m good, thank you.”

Twenty-five days later:

Customer: “WHY HASN’T THIS OFF OF MY CREDIT REPORT YET?! YOU PEOPLE TOLD ME IT WOULD COME OFF!”

Me: “Ma’am, it will take about 120 days.”

Customer: “Well, that’s not what the other representative told me!”

Me: “Ma’am, I was that representative. This is what I told you.”
