“I Don’t Know” How It Came To This

| March 1, 2016
(I am in a first year French class. This happens one week after our midterm. Almost everyone in the class has failed it, and the teacher is offering a retake in one week’s time. During the week in between, many try to cram, and this conversation can be heard every… single… day.)
Student: “What is ‘Je ne sais pas?’”
Teacher: “I don’t know.”
(This phrase literally translates to “I don’t know what.”)
Student: “You’re the teacher. How can you not know?”
(Every. Single. Day. For one week.)
Question of the Week
Have you ever served a bad customer who got what they deserved?
