I Am Not The One

(My watch is synchronized with the school clock. Sometimes towards the end of class, I’ll count down to the final bell. One of my friends is always pestering me about it.)

Friend: “Hey, do the countdown.”

Me: “I don’t feel like it today.”

Friend: “C’mon.”

Me: “No.”

Friend: “Please…”

Me: *sighs* “All right. Fine.” *I glance down at my watch for a few seconds* “One…”

(The bell rings. My friend just glares at me as I start snickering.)

Friend: “You’re not funny.”
