Hope For The Best, Prepare For The Worst?
I work in a card store. A customer walks in and grabs the first “Wishing you a speedy recovery” card he sees. He then spends a few more minutes looking through some other selections.
Me: “Are you looking for anything specific?”
Customer: “Do you have any condolences cards? “Sorry for your loss”, stuff like that?”
Me: “Uh, we have a small selection here in the back.”
Customer: “Awesome, there they are!”
He grabs the first one he sees and brings both cards to the counter.
Customer: “I’ll take both. What’s your refund policy?”
He holds up both cards.
Customer: “Depending on how it goes, I’m only gonna need one of these…”
