Holy Cannoli, That’s A New One

I work at an Italian restaurant. A small company is having an employee dinner at our place. 

There was one young woman excitedly rereading every word on the entire menu right up until it was her turn to order, when she asked:

Customer: “What kinda pasta is ‘preemeeces’?”

Me: *Confused.* “Can you please repeat that for me?”

Customer: *Emphasizing.* “Prrrem-eee-cees.”

I walk over to her.

Me: “Can you point to it in the menu?”

She pointed to a baked lasagna, served in a cast-iron pot that could only be served “on the premises”. As in “not to go”.

 She turned a little red when I explained it to her.
