His Intelligence Doesn’t Quite Add Up

(My brother has just returned from school. My younger sister is doodling at the dining table with our mum.)

Brother: “Mum! Look at this report! I scored 99 out of 100 in my test!”

Mum: “Well done, dear! That’s brilliant!”

Sister: “So, you got 99%? That’s cool.”

Brother: “No, sis. I got 99 out of 100.”

Sister: “Yeah, like I said. 99%.”

Brother: “Sis, you’re obviously not listening. I scored 99 out of 100!”

Sister: “Which is 99%, you idiot!”

Brother: “Whatever!”

Mum: “What subject was the test in, dear?”

Brother: “Math!”
