Hippily Ever After

(My parents have been married for 32 years, both in their late 50’s. There is a music festival going on that happens in my town every summer. I hear this in the living room.)

Dad: “I could never volunteer at the music festival. Some stupid, stinkin’ hippie would tell me to ‘eff off’, and that would be the last of him.”

Mom: “Oh, quit being a miserable old man.”

Dad: “I am a miserable old man!”
