Her Love Is Skin Deep

(My boyfriend and I are cuddling in his bed, with my head on his chest and his arm around me. He’s always very warm, and I’m always very cold.)

Me: *half-sleepily* “I want a blanket made out of your skin.”

Boyfriend: “Um…”

Me: *realizing how it sounded* “Oh, gosh! I meant… crap. I didn’t mean that in a creepy skin-suit kind of way. I just meant your skin is really nice and comfortable, and when you’re not around to cuddle with it’d be nice to have some sort of substitute! I’m not going to make a blanket out of your skin.”

Boyfriend: *laughing* “I think I realized that.”

Me: “Just don’t let me talk when I’m sleepy anymore.”
