He Socked It To You

(When my (adult) brother comes home from school, he always sits on the couch and takes off his socks, throwing them on the floor. He always forgets to clean them up, so by now there’s quite a pile. I walk in and nearly trip over them.)

Me: “[Brother], you need to deal with all these socks!”

(Wordlessly, he walks over, sits down next to the socks, and begins putting them on, one by one. First several on each foot, then on his hands.)

Me: *stares*

(Now with several layers of socks hanging off his hands and feet, he gets up and begins to flail about, laughing.)

Brother: “What? I dealt with them!”

(I don’t know what goes through his head sometimes.)
