(My partner works at a substance abuse center as a receptionist and billing clerk. I get home after work one night and make myself a whiskey and coke. I take a sip. Then I call my partner.)
Partner: “Hello?”
Me: “Hi.”
Partner: “Oh, hi, what’s up?”
Me: “I think I need an intervention.”
Partner: “Why? What’s up?”
Me: “I just made myself a drink and forgot to add the whiskey.”
