H2-OMG!, Part 11
I’m visiting my friend at the popular chain restaurant where she bartends sometimes. I’m dressed in all black because I have to head to work soon. I’ve just been standing at the counter chatting with her, when she steps away to handle a table in her section… cue Lady.
Lady: “Excuse me?! We’ve needed refills for forty-five minutes! You haven’t checked on us once! You’re not getting a tip!”
Me: “I don’t work here. I’m not your waitress.”
Lady: “Don’t you lie to me! I’m going to get you fired! Now get me a refill!”
She slams her cup on the counter.
Me: “…Okay.””
I unscrew my water bottle and pour it into her glass. She absolutely loses it, shrieking about the health department, water contamination, lawsuits. The manager comes over mid-screech.
Manager: “What’s going on here?”
Lady: “She’s terrible; she contaminated my drink! You need to fire her right now!”
Manager: “…She doesn’t work here.” *Turns to me.* “Sorry about this.”
Lady goes red, throws her cup on the counter so it splatters everywhere, and keeps yelling.
Manager: “Pay and leave, or I’m calling the police.”
She slaps money down and storms out, still screeching nonsense.
