Growing Up To Be An Earful

(My daughter is just under two years old. She has said a very grown-up phrase, not profane, just grown-up. And my husband and I just stare at each other as neither know where she would have heard it.)

Dad: “Where did you hear that from?”

Daughter: *for a few seconds, looks at my husband like he’s an idiot for not knowing* “From my ears.”

(It would be a couple years more before we could explain to here why we both ended up rolling in laughter. Not even two, already a smart-a**.)
