Grandma Needs A Chill Pill

| Friendly | January 28, 2015

(I’m at my hometown for the summer, but don’t really have a place to stay so I’m crashing with friends until I can get a ride home. I find one place I can stay for an extended period of time, and we’re at the old house for Internet, where her grandmother is staying. I’ve injured my shoulder so I’ve been carrying Advil on me.)

Friend’s Grandma: “[My Name]?”

Me: “Yes?”

Friend’s Grandma: “What were those pills you were taking yesterday?”

Me: “…they were Advil.”

Friend’s Grandma: “Well I was just wondering because I received a report that you were taking them by the handful.”

Me: “…no?”

Friend’s Grandma: “I was just asking because I don’t want—”

My Friend: “I take care not to socialize with drug addicts!”

(Turned out that the day before a friend jokingly told her I was taking them by the handful. Seeing as I’m still alive to type this…)
