Grains Of Truth
A customer holds up a package of wholegrain rice.
Customer: “What’s in this?”
Me: “Wholegrain rice.”
Customer: “Yes, what’s in it?”
Me: “Just rice.”
Customer: “It’s that there’s no ingredients list.”
Me: “Because there is none. It’s a single ingredient: wholegrain rice.”
Customer: “Yes, but what’s in it?”
Me: “Carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.”
The customer nodded knowingly and walked away with the rice. I hope I gave the answer they were looking for.
