(While my boyfriend is browsing Netflix on his laptop, the “He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special” pops up, and (just to be a nuisance) I demand we watch it. After a bit of arguing, he agrees, on the grounds that we then watch the “Fat Albert Christmas Special” as well. We are in the middle of watching “He-Man”.)

Boyfriend: “You think this is bad now? Well, we’re going to watch the Star Wars Christmas Special, and then you’ll be sorry!”

Me: “What? We were supposed to watch Fat Albert. We even shook on it!”

Boyfriend: “I have altered the deal. Pray I do not alter it further.”
