Got A Head For Pick-Up Lines

(My friend has found a piece of wood shaped like a sword and has been swinging it around; he tells me that I have to christen it by getting my head chopped off, but I don’t get the meaning until later.)
Me: “Are you volunteering yourself?”
Friend: “No, I’m volunteering you.”
Me: “But my head’s too pretty.”
Friend: “And mine’s not…”
Me: “It’s good enough for a pike.”
Friend: *laughs* “I wouldn’t try using that as a pick-up line.”
