Go Away, Thief! Shoe!
A man stole shoes at another location, a good fifty miles away. The manager had called to be on the lookout for them. Then, the man tried to return them at our store. He had no box and no receipt, and the tags were still on the bottom.
He handed them to me, and I took them and put them on the counter behind me.
Me: “Do you have a receipt?”
Man: “No, I just bought them at your store in [Location].”
Me: “Let me call them.”
He left in a hurry.
