Getting Their Cable Is But A Fable
I’m staying with my parents at the time of this story. My parents have cable with one company and another for their Internet, while I am with a completely different company for Internet and no cable. My parents had barely switched over to the cable company and were getting everything set up.
I saw the techs outside and told my mom to make sure to inform them that I had a cable out there for my Internet and to not cut that one, as they were cutting and removing the cables from the other company my mom was with prior. I heard her informing them of this and continued what I was doing.
A little while later, I noticed that my Internet wasn’t working. And of course, I went to check and noticed that not only did they cut my cable but they used that same cable and taped it to connect my mom to their cable services. I was, understandably, angry, but told them to leave it and have my company fix it.
My mom noticed days later that the TV would cut off and another tech came. She explained what had happened and they said they would run another cable — one of theirs — but they never did. After another three techs visiting my mom gave up and is just waiting for the contract to end to switch to another company.
