Getting High Like It’s 1999

(We are in a required health class, discussing violence in schools. One student in the class comes in high every day, not to mention this is his fourth time attempting the class.)
Teacher: “Can anyone tell me what tragic event happened on April 20, 1999?”
Student: “I know! I know!”
(Teacher tries to ignore him, but no one else wants to answer.)
Teacher: “Fine, [Student], what do you think happened then?”
Student: “World War I.”
Teacher: “What?”
Student: “No, no, I take that back. World War II. Nope, not that either. The thing with Anne Frank?”
Teacher: “Do you even know what date I said?”
Student: “Yeah, duh, April 20, 1990 something… Oh, wait, I get it! It’s 420!”
Teacher: “Just get out of my class.”
