(I’ve been sick for a few days and haven’t been accomplishing much of anything. My girlfriend is much better at accomplishing things in general, and the last several days even more so. I’m just lounging around.)
Girlfriend: “You seem kind of listless today.”
Me: “Not true. I have lots of lists.”
Girlfriend: “No, you don’t! You never make lists!”
Me: “Hmm, you’re right. I’ve been useless for the last few days.”
Girlfriend: “You need more ambition!”
Me: “Probably. Can I borrow some of yours?”
Girlfriend: “You can have it!”
(She suddenly jumps up and runs out the door.)
Girlfriend: “Now, let’s go be AWESOME!”
