Getting Cut Off Gets You Cut Out Of The Bill
(I am going through a drive-thru. There are two order lanes, with extra space off to the right between the lanes and the store next door. I’m pulling in, when a small car, coming from the opposite direction in the open space, makes a VERY tight U-turn right in front of me to screech into the lane I’m pulling into, right in front of me. I have to slam on my brakes and honk my horn. I’m a bit boggled; there isn’t a line or anything. I take a couple of deep breaths and decide to let it go; it’s not worth the aggravation. I order, and the fast lady is in front of me. I notice when she gets her order the cashier seems to be saying something. Then I pull up to the window:)
Cashier: “We don’t tolerate people cutting off customers at the drive-thru. Your food is free.”
(Made my day.)
