The Girlfriend You Need, Not Deserve
(My girlfriend has a habit of claiming that we’re breaking up, always in a joking manner. My reply is always ‘No. We’re not.’ One night while laying in bed:)
Girlfriend: “We’re breaking up.”
Me: “You say that so much, I’ll never know when you’re serious.”
Girlfriend: “…”
Me: “Oooh, I know. When you’re actually serious, go with super nerdy references. I’ll believe you then.”
Girlfriend: “I swear on Batman’s parents, we’re breaking up.”
Me: “They’re dead, doesn’t count.”
Girlfriend: “They’re dead, LIKE THIS RELATIONSHIP!”
(I plan on marrying this girl.)
