Get Her To The Geek

(My mom doesn’t watch many movies; mostly she’s doing chores while grandkids etc. get to watch stuff. Tonight, she gets a movie to herself, so she’s just starting to watch Pleasantville.)

Mom: “Hey, that’s Spiderman!”

Me: *pleased* “Sure is! You earn 1 geek point. Now you’ve actually got geek cred!”

(A little later.)

Mom: “Hey, Peter Parker is in this too!”

Me: “Spiderman and Peter Parker are the same person. You lose half a point of geek cred.”
